Honored to be invited by the legendary singer

Honored to be invited by the legendary singer, musician, actor and above all a philanthropist- S P Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) on his birthday, 4th June 2019 at his native place Nellore, near Tirupati in the south. Please note, it’s a classic Indian tradition SPB is following- Instead of accepting gifts, he is offering gifts on his BD and that tradition we have conveniently forgotten with the greed of time. On every BD he chooses two notable persons (he calls it Stalwarts) from different walks of life to honor with love, respect and cash. The other gentleman is Mr. Chandramohan, multitalented, versatile actor from Telugu Cinema.

Now lets peep into our host’s life:
“Balu (SPB) has recorded over 40,000 songs in a span of 50 years, which include film songs and devotional numbers recorded by various recording companies of the country. It is a world record which will be soon entering into the Guinness Book of World Records.”

Singapore – The organizers of the annual Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) are pleased to announce the winner for the HICAP 2021 Sustainable Hotel Award.

The annual HICAP Sustainable Hotel Awards are designed to recognize hotels in the Asia Pacific region creating innovative new methods, strategies, and technologies to face today’s sustainable development challenge, while providing tangible examples of sustainable best practices that can be replicated and adapted across the region.

In the category of Positive Community Impact, the winner is The Fern Hotels & Resorts in India. Fern Hotels is amongst the fastest growing hotel brands in India, with 85 hotels and resorts across 69 locations, aiming to deliver luxury with minimal environmental impact. Water stress is a high risk in India, so Fern Hotels found a way to help local communities play a role in reducing water-related risks. They partnered with National Geographic Traveller India and the Drop Dead Foundation to go out into the communities around their hotels fixing leaking fixtures for free and raising awareness about the importance of water conservation. Using the expertise of their teams, Fern Hotels helped save local communities money while responding to an issue of great local importance. Between July 2019 and March 2020 (when the campaign was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation), they saved over 5.5 million litres of water in 9 communities. The campaign will resume as soon as determined safe to do so.
